Getting Started
Learn how to import a match or training session into PlayBase by creating a video project inside your workspace.
With your workspace ready, it’s time to create your first video project. This is the core of your analysis work—where you’ll import footage, tag events, and build playlists.
In this video, we’ll show you how to create and set up a video project in just a few steps.
What is a Video Project?
A video project in PlayBase holds a single match or training session. It includes:
The raw video file
Tagging and coding data
You’ll likely spend a lot of time working inside video projects, cutting clips and coding your games
How to Create a Video Project
Go to the Video Manager module
Click New Project
Add a title and optional description
Select your video file from your computer
PlayBase will scan the file (frame rate, duration, resolution) to ensure it’s compatible
Once imported, click anywhere inside the project to begin viewing and tagging
Playback Controls
After opening your video project, you’ll see:
Standard video controls (Play, Pause, Speed)
A timeline where you can scrub to any moment
A clean interface for smooth navigation
You’re now ready to cut clips, code events, and bring your analysis to life.
Pro Tip
If you’re working with long games, make sure your video is high quality and stored locally. This ensures smoother playback and tagging.
