Game Analysis
Code games in real time with or without a video source, and capture every moment seamlessly.
Live Recording
Overview
Metrica Nexus supports real-time match analysis through Live Recording. Whether you’re connected to a video source or coding with no video (ghost capture), you can break down matches as they happen.
How to set up Live Recording
Go to the Live tab and open Live Settings. Nexus will automatically recognize any connected hardware like capture cards or streaming systems. You can also connect to IP cameras or streaming servers by entering the appropriate URL or server details.
If you’re using a ghost capture—where no video source is connected—you can still tag live. After the match, you’ll link the captured data to the video file manually.
Saving the recording
Once your video source and coding setup are ready, choose a destination on your computer to save the recording file. Start tagging using your coding sequence and shortcuts. Stop the recording when the match or half ends.
In ghost capture mode, after finishing the tagging session, select and link the actual video file to sync the data.
Tip
Ghost captures are ideal when the video feed isn’t available live but you still want to code in real time.
Next Step
After your match is recorded, use the Video Controls to review and prepare your clips for editing.
