Nexus Mobile is the companion app for Metrica Nexus that allows you to share clips directly from Nexus Desktop to an iPad or iPhone.
What is Nexus Mobile?
Nexus Mobile is the companion app for Metrica Nexus that allows you to share clips directly from Nexus Desktop to an iPad/iPhone.
Whether you’re working live during a game or reviewing after the match or training session, Nexus Mobile makes it easy to bring your analysis to the sideline and share it with coaches and staff in real time.
Requirements
Before you start, make sure you have:
An active Nexus Live add-on (required to use Nexus Mobile).
Nexus Mobile installed on an iPad/iPhone.
Both Nexus Desktop and the iPad/iPhone connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
Step 1: Enable the Mobile Connection
Open a workspace in Nexus Desktop (live or post-game).
Go to the new Mobile tab in the top header.
By default, the connection is locked. Click Enable to activate the connection.
Once enabled, Nexus Desktop will be visible to Nexus Mobile.
Step 2: Connect from the iPad
Open the Nexus Mobile app on your iPad/iPhone.
Log in with the same account you use for Nexus Live.
You should now see your desktop session available, marked with a green icon.
Tap to connect.
Step 3: Configure Clip Sharing Settings
On Nexus Desktop, go to Clip Sharing Settings to decide how your clips will be exported:
Video only, or video + annotations
Include clip descriptions
Choose resolution, frame size, frame rate, quality, and audio
Example: 1080p, 25fps, medium quality, with audio.
Step 4: Share Clips or Folders
In the Organizer, select one or more clips.
Right-click and choose Share to Nexus Mobile.
Nexus will process the clips in the background.
Once complete, a confirmation will appear on both Desktop and Mobile.
💡 Tip: You can also share entire folders for better organization.
Step 5: View Clips on Nexus Mobile
On the iPad/iPhone you can:
Tap any clip to play it in full screen.
Swipe left or right to move between clips.
Skip forward or backward 5 seconds.
Swipe left on a clip to delete it.
Folders shared from Desktop will also appear with their structure intact.
Step 6: Closing the Connection
When finished, you can manually lock the connection.
If you close Nexus Desktop, the connection will automatically reset to locked by default.
