Tracking
Take full control of player tracking by adjusting visuals frame by frame for perfect precision.
Manual Player Tracking
Overview
Manual Player Tracking allows you to fine-tune or fully control how a visual follows a player across frames. It’s ideal for cases where automatic tracking struggles due to motion blur, shadows, or complex scenes.
How to manually track
Select the visual annotation in your timeline. Use the Spacebar to move through the clip slowly, and manually reposition the tracking box as the player moves. For more precision, use CMD+Option+Arrow keys to go frame by frame.
Adjust the visual’s position frame-by-frame to ensure it stays aligned with the player’s movement.
When to use manual tracking
• When players overlap or move behind others.
• When camera movement is fast or inconsistent.
• When you want to emphasize a very specific positioning moment.
Tip
You can combine manual and automatic tracking in the same clip by refining only specific frames where automatic tracking fails.
