Getting Started
Fine-tune your visual effects in PlayBase by adjusting size, timing, position, and style to make your analysis clear and professional.
After adding visualizations to your clips, you’ll often want to adjust them for clarity or emphasis. In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to edit your visuals using the Infobox and timeline controls in the Annotations Module.
How to Edit a Visualization
Select a clip from your playlist
Open the Annotations Module (Cmd+5 or Ctrl+5)
Click on the visualization you want to edit in the video canvas or timeline
An Infobox will appear—this is where you make detailed edits
What Can You Change?
In the Infobox, you can:
Move the visualization to a new position on screen
Resize it by dragging the corners
Change color, opacity, thickness or animation style
Adjust the duration using the bar on the timeline
For example, you can turn a simple spotlight into a larger, pulsing glow to emphasize intensity, or use arrows with different angles to show tactical directions.
Pro Tip
You can drag the Infobox anywhere on screen to keep your workspace clear and focused. This helps when you’re layering multiple visuals in the same moment.
If you ever want to remove a visualization, simply select it and press Delete.
Best Practices
Use consistent styles for the same types of visuals (e.g., red spotlight for defenders)
Don’t overload the screen—clarity is key
Combine visuals with pauses for maximum attention (covered in a future lesson)
