Tracking
Automatically calibrate the pitch for accurate overlays and data-driven visuals.
Automatic Field Tracking
Overview
Automatic Field Tracking is the fastest way to calibrate the pitch in your video. This step is essential for enabling accurate distance, speed, and position-based visuals.
How to use it
Click on the Field Tracking menu, or simply click on the video bar and choose Process. Nexus will analyze the field lines and automatically align the pitch perspective.
The shorter your clip, the faster this process completes.
Improve tracking accuracy
If some parts of the field don’t align well, click Improve to refine the tracking frame by frame. Nexus will update the calibration while maintaining existing data.
Best practices
• Use steady, wide-angle footage from the center of the pitch.
• Ensure that the white field lines are clearly visible throughout the clip.
Tip
Use automatic tracking first. If results are inconsistent, refine with Manual Field Tracking.
Next Step
Let’s explore how to manually track the field if automatic tracking isn’t precise enough.
