Fine-tune chroma key settings for clean and vibrant visuals even in tricky lighting conditions.
Chroma Key
Overview
Chroma Key is automatically applied to all clips to make visualizations stand out against the field. Sometimes, depending on lighting or shadows, you’ll need to fine-tune it for optimal clarity.
How to adjust Chroma Key
Click on the Chroma settings for your clip. Adjust the keying values to refine how colors are treated in the footage. If any visual appears faded or unclear, it’s often due to poor chroma key calibration.
You can also add colors to the key if parts of the pitch are not being detected correctly.
When to adjust it
• Mixed lighting (sun and shadow)
• Washed-out or dull visuals
• Clips recorded under artificial light or poor weather
Tip
You don’t need to adjust Chroma Key for every clip—only when you see a noticeable problem with how visuals display.
