Automatic Player Tracking

Overview

With Automatic Player Tracking, Metrica Nexus allows your visuals to follow players in motion—creating dynamic, professional-looking annotations with no manual work.

How it works

Select a clip and choose the player(s) you want to track. Then click Process Player Tracking in the Elements panel. Nexus will automatically lock the visual to the player’s movement for the duration of the clip.

You can stop the tracking at any point if you only want the visual to follow part of the player’s action.

Use cases

• Automatically track players with rings or highlights.

• Maintain visual focus on key players during transitions.

• Create follow-through animations for runs or pressing actions.

Tip

For best results, ensure that the clip has stable camera movement and players are clearly visible.
